A classic game for kids of all ages, Hangman combines grammar skills, probability skills, and sheer luck. Hangman is traditionally played by two players with pencil and paper. However, only one of the players is really playing the game--the other provides the word or phrase to be guessed and lets the player know if letters he or she has selected are correct.

With a computer program, the game can be played with one player. The phrases are presented by the computer, which has the advantage of never tiring of playing.

Like cryptograms, the Hangman game can be used for a variety of different purposes ranging from education to pure entertainment. In addition, you can disguise a Hangman game to make it look and play like something completely different.
