This type of game has been around for a while, but is still seen as challenging. Since the early days of video arcade games, players have been piloting ships through star fields trying to blast asteroids and meteors before they get blasted themselves.

Although hardly educational, this game does require quick reaction times and lots of practice to master. It's also an easy game to learn, thus making it a favorite of sites that want Shockwave game content.
